Genre:Drama/Romance
Movie Rating; 2-Tollerable
Scarlett: "As God is my witness, as God is my witness they're not going to lick me. I'm going to live through this and when it's all over, I'll never be hungry again. No, nor any of my folk. If I have to lie, steal, cheat or kill. As God is my witness, I'll never be hungry again" Famous words from Scarlett O'Hara the character from Gone with the wind. This movie is very different an many ways. Its about a "southern bell" as they called her that lives in Georgia. Scarlett is a young nieve girl that has absolutly fallen in love with a man named Asley Wilkes. But Wilkes has a woman, his cousin, melanie. Those to get married so scarlett goes and marrys some random dude. At this time the civil war was breahing out and all the men are pumped excited.
All but one man, Rhett Butler. Probley one of the most confusing charcters seen in film today. Rhett unlike the other men stays home and takes no part in the war. And he has a weird liking to scarlett. As the movie goes on scarlett becomes a widow. Rhett flirts with her for a while they look like their going to hook up, then they don't. Ashley comes back from war Scarlett still loves him but hes still married to Melanie, again his cousin. Melanie and scarlett becomes friends. And a long drawn out process of Scarlett bouncing back and fourth between Rhett and wanting Ashley.
Overall a pretty boring m ovie cause its drawn out so long. It has a couple of good historical and factoral moments. But The climax builds for a really long time will Ashley hook up with Scarleett. Or will Rhett stay with her, but finally ends but on a flat note. I think the best part was the ending cause it was finally over. Scarlett"Why does a girl have to be so silly to catch a husband?" Shows what kind of person she really was.
